Privacy policy

Short version
This website sets no cookies, shows no ads and does not track you across sites. We count visits with our own tool. Your browser only keeps an ID for that if you allow it. The add-ons send nothing outside the game.
Who is responsible
This website is run by Robin, the developer of the Copperwick add-ons. Contact details are in the legal notice once it is published.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you open a page, Vercel processes technical data such as your IP address, the time, the page you open and your browser type, to deliver the page and keep the service secure. This is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Vercel is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Visitor statistics
We count page views and a few clicks to learn which pages help and whether downloads work. For this we use rt-analytics, our own tool, not a third-party analytics service. We record the page you open, the page you came from, campaign details in the link (utm), browser, operating system, device type, window size, the country (derived from your IP address), page load times (Web Vitals), script errors, and clicks on downloads, the trailer, the tooltip demo and copy buttons.
Before you decide, and if you say no, nothing is stored in your browser and there are no cookies. We do not store your IP address. Our server combines IP address, browser identifier and a secret value into an ID that changes every day, so visits on different days cannot be linked and we build no profiles. If you say no, your browser only keeps that decision (rta_consent in local storage), so we do not ask again. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used and making it better. You can object at any time (Art. 21 GDPR).
If you allow it, your browser keeps a random ID in local storage (rta_vid, plus rta_consent for your choice) and a session ID for the open tab (rta_sid and rta_sla in session storage). With it we can see that a visit comes from someone who was here before. The ID says nothing about you and is not shared with other websites. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw it at any time below; the ID is then deleted from your browser.
The data is stored in Google Cloud BigQuery in the EU. Google Cloud EMEA Limited (Ireland) processes it on our behalf under a data processing agreement. We delete it when we no longer need it for the statistics.

Downloads and videos
Add-on files and the trailer are served from this website. No third-party video player or font service is used; fonts are delivered by this site.
Data in the add-ons
GearRadar Forever stores its data in your game's SavedVariables folder on your computer. It shares character name, class, level, specs and equipped item IDs only with other players who run GearRadar, through the game's own add-on messages. Nothing is sent to us or to any other server.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and to object, as well as the right to complain to a data protection authority.
